Building Constituencies and Participation in Post-Conflict Development

The sequencing of the delivery of post-conflict recovery programs is critical. Uneven delivery of assistance across regions and beneficiaries can create perceived inequities and exacerbate underlying tensions. At the same time, spaces are needed to enable civil society groups and disadvantaged groups to participate in post-conflict development and hold government and international actors accountable for programs and policies.

 

To achieve this objective, the Conflict and Development team supports the following programs:

 

In addition, the Conflict and Development team is participating in the Multi-Stakeholder Review of Post-Conflict Programming which brings together national, provincial, and local government, international and civil society actors to identify future priorities, programs, and policies in support of sustainable peace and development.
